Laser and cosmetics
The word LASER is the abbreviation for 'Light Amplification Stimulated Emission Radiation' and describes an extremely energy-rich light beam of a defined colour. By means of different excitable gases, lasers with different colours or wavelengths can be generated (e.g. infrared with CO2 or yellow-green with Nd:YAG dye laser, etc.). In dependence on the physical parameters of the laser beam (colour/wavelength/intensity/pulse length), different effects on the skin surface or in deeper skin layers can be produced.
In our practice we use three different laser systems for specific indications:
CO2 laser
age spots, sunspots, benign birthmarks, fibromas, vecurras, acne scars, xanthelasmatosis, actinic keratoses (keratinisation disorders), seborrhoeic keratoses (senile warts), syringomas, sebaceous gland hyperplasia
Candela GentleYAG:
couperosis (buccal telangiectases), vascular dilatations, rosacea (rosy drop), spider naevi, senile angiomas (strawberry marks), angiofibromas and spider veins, hair depilation, erugation and cellulite treatment
Rubin laser:
age spots, sunspots, hyperpigmentations, tattoo removal
