Interdisciplinary Centre for Continence and Pelvic Floor Disorders
The causes of pelvic floor diseases and descending symptoms are diversified, e.g. vaginal
births, adiposity (overweight), pre/post-menopausal oestrogen deficiency, significant
predisposition, previous surgeries, senile degeneration and many more. The resulting clinical
picture is thus variform. Due to the great number of causations and the resulting clinical
pictures, it is necessary to call on various medical disciplines as well as the diagnostic and
therapy departments in order to provide for the optimum treatment. Therefore, the experts of the
EuromedClinic have established a Continence and Pelvic Floor Centre for private and state-insured
patients. It is comprised of the operative departments of gynaecology (Prof. Dr. Kleine-Gunk),
surgery Prof. Dr. Böttger and urology (Prof. Dr. Schmitz-Dräger, Prof. Dr. Ebert) in cooperation
with the physiotherapeutic, psychosomatic, psychotherapeutic (Chief Physician Dr. Sprenger) and
radiological (Dr. Eisenkolb) departments.
The patients’ quality of life, sexuality and ability to work is often extremely limited and
leads to social conflicts, depressive syndromes and social isolation. In many cases, however, the
complaints can be treated or at least alleviated and - an especially important aspect - the quality
of life improved again. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us so that we can help you.

cystoscopy and cystomanometry as well as, in case of complex pelvic floor diseases, the dynamic
magnetic resonance imaging (dynamic pelvic floor MRI).
The range of treatment methods of the Continence and Pelvic Floor Centre includes all
