CHECK-UP COLOSCOPY
Coloscopy is the safe and pain-free medical procedure, where benign polyps are
diagnosed and removed. This is important due to the fact that these polyps are known as a
preliminary stage of colon cancer. Every year around 66,000 people are diagnosed with colon cancer,
which makes it one of the three most common malignant diseases in men and women. The costs for a
check-up (starting at the age of 55) are also covered by private health insurances.
Combined gastro-intestinal check-up:
- tumor marker CEA, CA 19-9
- coloscopy
- oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (endoscopy of oesophagus, stomach and duodenum)
