MRSA – EDUCATION AND PREVENTION OF HIGHLY RESISTANT GERMS
Many severe infectious diseases are accompanied by bacteria that are resistant to most antibiotics. These bacteria include MRSA = methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Directly before and after the surgery, the contact with these bacteria may become especially dangerous: they may substantially weaken the organism and adversely affect the healing of fresh wounds. Therefore, it is essential to avoid the spreading of these germs in hospitals! The EuromedClinic is the only clinic in the metropolis region which accordingly examines all patients prior to a surgical intervention! In case an infection with MRSA germs is detected, we postpone the surgery - if the patient’s health condition permits - until successful elimination of the germs! This measure is for your personal protection, so that an acute infection following the surgery can be prevented. In addition, it also protects all other patients, since these bacteria may disseminate in the environment, e.g. on a ward, extremely rapidly.
For this reason, we ask for your active assistance for the protection of your health!
